What is going wrong today
A day-by-day first-week list. Print it. Tick it. Not a strategy document.
How New Hire Success Checklist handles it
You get four days: access and the one job, the first real task, something that ships, and what they own next week. One file, emailed after payment.
Inside New Hire Success Checklist
4 sections, 16 numbered steps. Yours to keep as a single file you can print or search.
-
Day 1: Access and the one job
By 10 they can open mail, the calendar, and the tools the job uses.
- Before they arrive: the inbox works, the calendar has today's meetings, and the laptop opens to a...
- Write one sentence on a card: the job they were hired to do this month, in words they can repeat.
- Name one person they can ask by 10 without waiting on you. Sit them next to that person if you can.
- Walk the first tool they will actually use. Stop when they have produced one saved file or one...

Day 2: The first real task
Give them work that leaves a result you can see, not a tour.
- Hand them one task that produces a file, a sent email, or a numbered list you can read by 4.
- Write the reviewer's name on the same card as the task. If the reviewer is you, block 20 minutes.
- Done means they can show you the result, not that they sat through a morning of slides.
- If they finish before lunch, give a second task of the same shape. Do not invent a workshop to...

Mid-week: Something ships
By Wednesday or Thursday they should have finished one thing a customer or a teammate can see.
- Pick the smallest thing that is real: a reply to a waiting client, a cleaned row of numbers, a...
- Sit with the work for 15 minutes. Say what is good enough to keep and what to change tomorrow.
- Write the change in one line on the card. Do not open a new handbook.
- If nothing shipped, the first two days were setup. Stop adding access. Give them the same task...

Friday: What they own next week
End the week with three lines they can read on Monday without you.
- Write three lines: what they own next week, what is still waiting, and who they ask when you are...
- Name Monday's first task before they leave Friday. If you cannot name it, the week did not take.
- Ask them which hour of the week was wasted. Cut that hour from week two.
- Tick every row that actually happened. Leave the missed ones visible. That is the list, not a score.

Before you buy
What exactly do I get?
One HTML checklist: Day 1 through Friday. Print it or keep it open and tick the rows. It is not a strategy document.
Who is this for?
A founder hiring their first person this month, who does not want a forty-page HR playbook.
Is this a subscription?
No. One payment on Stripe, one file emailed after payment clears, and it is yours to keep. There is no account to create and nothing to renew.
When do I get it?
Delivery is queued after payment (webhook, then email), so it can take a few minutes and is not instant. Check inbox and spam. A Stripe receipt usually arrives first; reply to it if the file is missing. There is no delivery SLA.
